Anxiety
Anyone on here suffer from a form of anxiety? Crowds? Noise? Open spaces? Feeling of fear or impending doom for no fucking reason at all? The drink makes that one much, much worse.

What a cunt it is.

Re: Anxiety
Not really, although a bit stressed lately, mainly due to doing a completely new job in a very unfamiliar role with tight deadlines and zero guidance from colleagues.

Could be age-related mate.

I can't say that drink makes any difference to my stress levels, apart from that its difficult to perform at your best under pressure when hung over.

Good luck mate, hope you pull through soon.

Re: Anxiety
Yep, since my partner passed away I’ve been suffering with terrible guts and waterworks trouble, all down to anxiety apparently.

Re: Anxiety
It is a cunt, kind of catch 22, when I have a few drinks it gets rid of the anxiety, but then after the medicine (drink) wears off the anxiety comes back, perhaps even worse as whilst on the drink things did not imporve or even got worse. Also as mentioned a hangover does not help and is a bit of a downer.
Drinking is best with out anxiety...

Re: Anxiety
3 son, I suffer with it as I've documented on here before mate.

I thoroughly recommend meditation, It's helped me overcome suicidal thoughts, drug and alcohol addiction as well as help manage my anxiety and depressive thoughts.

IF you ever need a chat, whomail me mate.

Re: Anxiety

Re: Anxiety
I can vouch for laying off THE DEMON DRINK as well. Used to get it bad.

Suicide Tuesday after boozing and drugging all weekend.

Re: Anxiety
3 son, You never really get "over" these type of things. It's a constant battle son.

However I've found it a lot more manageable cutting out booze. drugs, regular meditation and decent sleep.

As i said, if you need to talk let me know.
